One of the members of our community, @jon.munsey, started a review site last year called Computer Forensic Reviews Online (CFRO) where he conducts independent reviews of digital forensics software and hardware.
I wanted to mention this here as I believe there is great value in independent reviews at a time where most of the DFIR reviews one finds online are paid reviews and/or have some type of ulterior motive.
I can vouch for Jon’s process based on our own experience with him—Jon wrote an unprompted review of FEC last year and we didn’t get to see what he wrote until after he published the review which was great if a bit nerve-racking
